Slow Cooker Recipe - Lasagna

If you are fond of eating outside, then you are sure to love a slow cooker. Slow cooker recipes taste just like high quality restaurant food; in fact some claim that they taste even better! What’s more, slow cookers shave off a lot of time that you would normally spend in the kitchen, and they are easy on the electricity bills as well. Slow cookers really are a boon to all, especially for you if you spend most of the day working.

Ingredients

For a creamy, tasty Lasagna recipe, you need 1 pound of lean ground beef, 1 chopped onion, 1 can (29 ounces) of tomato sauce, 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1 and ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 can (6 ounce) of tomato paste, 1 pack (12 ounce) of lasagna noodles, 1 tablespoon of dried oregano, ½ a cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 12 ounces of grated cottage cheese and 16 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Preparation

Take a large skillet, and add the ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook on medium heat until the beef turns brown. Then, add the tomato sauce, the salt, oregano and the tomato paste. Stir until the ingredients blend well together. Cook until heated through. Take a bowl and mix the cottage cheese, the shredded mozzarella and the grated parmesan.
Then, add a layer of meat mixture into the bottom of a slow cooker. Add two layers of the uncooked lasagna noodles (you can break them to make them fit). Add a layer of the cheese mixture. Then repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients. Cover, and then cook on the low setting for 4-6 hours.

This slow cooker recipe can serve 10 people, so it’s a great slow cooker recipe to serve at a party. The lasagna noodles are cooked perfectly in the slow cooker. Try this delectable recipe and judge for yourself!
