A slow cooker is a favorite device of busy, working professionals. Slow cooker recipes are easy to find, ingredients easy to obtain and the food easy to make. Just mix ingredients according to the preparation, put the in the slow cooker, come back after a few hours and the food is done.
Ingredients for a Pepper Steak
A pepper steak comes out full of flavor from a slow cooker. It’s a great accompaniment with regular rice or noodles.
You need 2 pounds of sirloin beef, a single cube of beef bouillon, ½ a cup of a chopped onion, 2 chopped green bell peppers of a large size, a can of stewed tomatoes (about 14.5 ounce) with the liquid intact, 3 tablespoons of normal vegetable oil and same quantity of soy sauce, some garlic powder, a little hot water (1/4 cup) and a single tablespoon of salt, white sugar and cornstarch each.
Preparation
Take the beef sirloin and cut it into small strips of about 2 inches. Sprinkle a little garlic powder according to preference and set aside. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet at medium intensity and add strips of the beef sirloin.
After the strips turn brown, place them in the slow cooker. Next, take the hot water and add the bouillon cube to it. Mix until the bouillon dissolves and then add a tablespoon cornstarch. Again, mix until the cornstarch dissolves. Take this mixture and add it to the beef already sitting in the slow cooker. After this, add the chopped onion, bell peppers, soy, the can of stewed tomatoes, and the sugar and salt. Then just cook the mixture on high for 3-4 hours if you are in a hurry or on low for 6-8 hours.

Again, mix until the cornstarch dissolves. Take this mixture and add it to the beef already sitting in the slow cooker. After this, add the chopped onion, bell peppers, soy, the can of stewed tomatoes, and the sugar and salt. Then just cook the mixture on high for 3-4 hours if you are in a hurry or on low for 6-8 hours.
Afterwards, remove the food from the slow cooker and serve up to 6 people. This slow cooker recipe makes for a very succulent steak. It is very flavorful, and the soft peppers and the brilliant seasonings make for a mouthwatering experience.
